What Are You Doing:

  • The terms and conditions of this position are governed by the Transport Workers Union (TWU) / International Association of Mechanical Engineers and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Collective Agreement.
  • Depending on their occupation, the Researcher’s Researcher includes some or all of the following: Alone or with a project manager, performing technical tasks in tasks such as problem solving, maintenance or expert advice, dismantling , inspection and maintenance, repair, replacement, testing, repair, assembly, installation, maintenance, manufacture, taxiing or towing of aircraft and/or replacement repairs and/or modifications necessary to ensure the safety of the aircraft and all its equipment during engine operation, aircraft de-icing, in service or overhaul.
  • Only aircraft equipment release signatures for all ongoing work operations, including aircraft equipment release signatures to confirm work quality.
  • You can hunt your own spot in places where vendors are not stocked or not available at the time.
  • Other meteorologists can be recruited to help complete the mission. Work in accordance with FAA and company policies and procedures and instructions from managers or supervisors.
  • Follow established procedures for handling work-related information.
  • Communicate with other company employees as needed, as specified by the company.
  • In addition to the above tasks, you will perform the following tasks.
  • aircraft windshield cleaning; connect/disconnect ground power and ground starters; Aircraft thrust/tog and other operations.

Minimum Requirements – Education And Work Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English or your local native language.
  • Gas and electric permits are required.
  • You must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Willing to work long hours when required to function such as weather conditions.
  • Flexible work available including weekends, holidays and weekends.
  • Learn to work regularly and on time. You must complete an FAA criminal background check in order to enter the Airport Security Identification (AIDS) area.
  • You must be able to obtain the appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badge.
  • This position is subject to drug and alcohol testing by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Previous employers will be contacted to determine if there has been a DOT drug violation and/or drug or alcohol denial within the past two years.
  • Your DOT requires urine to be tested for cocaine, marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, and opiates.
  • Subsequent relocation costs are the responsibility of the tenderer.
