Performs administrative duties and related activities in support of the drug distribution system.
• Calculates and/or displays the correct dosage based on the prescription
• Contact a doctor for any prescription drug to receive a hard copy within the time frame required by state law.
• Help track narcotics Rx back in time
• Implement new and innovative policies in a timely and accurate manner. • Customize orders based on assigned needs
• Prepare an emergency pharmacy order
• Ensure that procedures meet state and federal drug labeling standards.
• Provide community pharmacists with information on allergies and drug interactions, drug interactions and other computer-reported events. • Treat all internal and external customers with respect
• Contact your pharmacist regarding prescription policy details, non-stock items, prescription issues or concerns.
• Complete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures, including the use of approved abbreviations. • Sort customer service requests by service, prompt and information/response required.
• Collect, route and process incoming faxes to the appropriate department/region. • Create and maintain accurate customer records
• Organize/manage the “STAT” ordering process (check e-kits inventory and fax them back to customers)
• Understand health insurance policy and coverage requirements/guidelines
• Comply with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Assist in store operations as required
• Take necessary steps to ensure that all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients and that they demonstrate ethical behavior and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
