Compliance auditors support Costco’s overall policies and business objectives regarding compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, protecting member privacy, and ensuring compliance continues. Compliance auditors work closely with other organizations to define and establish company guidelines in response to emerging standards and regulations and ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and properly regulated, and -conduct internal investigations and identify attention problems that require normal attention. Compliance auditors speak the technical and business languages of each other to communicate and lead effectively.
The Compliance Analyst will lead and improve all aspects of the audit, communication, implementation and mitigation of risk in supplier management to protect Costco and its partners. The Compliance Analyst will work with other business and legal departments to define and establish new corporate standards to support Vendor risk management program plans, policies and standards. This person will be expected to influence management, promote company awareness, propose solutions to manage gaps, reach out to support business/operations and communicate effectively at all levels. WORK:
● Provides leadership for the identification, support and maintenance of information technology controls for all applicable regulatory compliance processes.
● Design a computerized test system to identify and evaluate risk factors and determine the effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
● Maintains a strong understanding of and compliance with current and future regulations, standards and laws.
● Keep abreast of ever-changing security topics and technologies through self-paced training and education.
● Innovative, creative and works well under pressure to identify and resolve difficult situations and difficult situations. ● Leads and conducts vendor security/privacy risk assessments and risk remediation activities to identify and help effectively address critical risks.
● Uses a risk framework to assess and control the associated risks.

● Working with I.S. Management, accounting, legal and internal/external auditors to ensure successful monitoring and completion of compliance and mitigation activities.
● Leads assigned tasks and outsources IT expertise or external resources as required.
Wanted
● Previous experience working with Vendor Risk Management (VRM) or Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) or risk management programs.
● Experience working in an affiliated organization.
● Working knowledge of GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) tools.
● Working knowledge of security risk assessment and management processes, good understanding of privacy laws, data management practices and security protocols.
● Ability to interpret data security data and processes to identify compliance issues (SOX, HIPAA, PCI and privacy).
● Ability to quickly understand security systems to identify and support vendor and third party risk exposures.
● Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with executives, analysts, end users and engineers.
● Ability to work effectively, independently of assistance or supervision.
● Experience with standard information gathering (GIS) and supplier interviews.
● Must be self-directed and action-oriented to promote risk identification and mitigation.
● Innovative, creative and responsive, with a strong sense of urgency.
● Demonstrated consulting skills (sharing knowledge and helping others understand technical and business topics).
