Apple’s FinOps Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and highly motivated leader to become a FinOps Cloud Analyst. You will play an important role in shaping the success of Apple products now and in the future.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring cloud consumption costs, identifying cost drivers, and leading best practices to ensure our infrastructure is operating efficiently. You will use cloud cost optimization platforms and an engineering partner to gain visibility and better manage the use of third party cloud resources.
3+ years developing and operating infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS or GCP)
Ability to define architecture by influencing teams working on software solutions, while collaborating with businesses to ensure that their strategic plans are met with software technology.
Able to research, design and pilot complex technical solutions, consisting of multiple technologies and cloud services. Cost optimization experience choosing from tools like Ternary, Cloudability, etc.
Cost management skills and knowledge, including analysis and forecasting of trends and variances
Experience building a FinOps department
Experience with Kubernetes development and cloud telemetry applications

– Analyze cloud consumption costs and identify key cost drivers
– Conducts best practices to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
– Get cloud pricing optimization to better track and manage cloud resource usage and pricing
– Connect with resources available across Apple
– Use agile methods to define project plans, roadmaps and manage product backlogs
– Be a great partner with outsourcers, consultants, third-party cloud providers, internal and external partners
Academic experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics or other relevant field demonstrating quantitative ability. MBA plus.
